Register For SWANA
The Tennessee Training Academy (TTA) in cooperation with the Tennessee Recycling Coalition’s 34th Annual Conference will offer the Solid Waste Association of North America’s (SWANA) training preparation course for certification in Managing Integrated Solid Waste Management Systems. Testing is separate. Registration is closed!

Training event dates are:
Monday, August 21, 2023, through Wednesday, August 23, 2023.The class
will be held in Mountain View Room A & B at The Park Vista Hotel in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday classes will start promptly at 8:00 a.m. E.D.T. until approximately 5:00 p.m. E.D.T. each day. There will be time allowed for breaks and lunch on your own. The certification exam for those interested and registered in advance will be online. There is an additional fee for the certification exam.

Scholarships:
There is a very limited number of training scholarships for this event. If you
are interested in receiving a scholarship, please send an email to
agreene@chestercountytn.org stating your desire to participate and your need for a scholarship. The TTA will give priority to those with no previous professional certifications and then by date and time of request received on a first come first serve basis. Some agencies may restrict scholarships to local government professionals only or some agencies may require you to be a member.
Please note: Scholarships only cover the Solid Waste Association of North America
(SWANA) preparation class cost and does not cover travel, meals, or the certification exam. Acceptance of scholarship indicates recipient will attend the event or (with coordination with the TTA) send someone in their place. If a recipient of an awarded scholarship fails to attend without 14-day notice or sending someone in their place, they may be billed for any costs incurred for cancellation up to the full cost of attending the class. If you plan to attend the TN Recycling Coalition conference you will need to
register and pay the conference fee separate.
