The Tennessee Recycling Coalition is honored to announce the Bob Fletcher Memorial Scholarship which honors the late Mr. Bob Fletcher who worked for the Tennessee Department of Environment & Conservation.  He was a passionate advocate for helping counties, cities, and businesses with household hazardous waste, recycling, and other environmental issues.


The Tennessee Recycling Coalition is proud to continue its legacy by providing an opportunity for the next generation of environmental leaders who are pursuing careers in the environmental field and will offer a $2,500 scholarship to one high school senior or first-year college student. The student must be a senior in high school attending college or a first-year college student.

Join us at the Tennessee Sustainability Conference on August 21-23, 2024, at the Park Vista Hotel in Gatlinburg, TN. This annual conference is a partnership between three leading organizations: the Tennessee Recycling Coalition, the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Tennessee Environmental Conference. TNSC will bring together environmental professionals, government officials, business and industry leaders, consultants, agribusiness leaders, energy experts, universities, and solid waste and recycling experts from across the region to learn about the latest trends and best practices in recycling and environmental sustainability.


The three-day conference will offer a range of environmental sessions, panel discussions, training classes and workshops, tours, an exhibitor hall, and presentations from top environmental professionals and leaders. Attendees will learn about modern technologies, regulations, environmental safety, recycling, and case studies that impact how we manage natural resources, as well as explore solutions and best practices for managing environmental sustainability.

The Tennessee Recycling Coalition (TRC) awarded two recycling bin grants to Dr. William H. Brewster Elementary Optional STEAM School in Memphis, TN and to Jackson Christian School in Jackson, TN to increase recycling.


The goal of the Tennessee Recycling Coalition grant is to promote and increase recycling across the State of Tennessee. The grant will help the elementary school staff engage students to recycle in the classroom. The Tennessee Recycling Coalition Board of Directors appreciates the staff and students for their hard work recycling at school.


Congratulations to the grant winners.
