The Tennessee Recycling Coalition Board of Directors is pleased to announce Amber Greene as the newly appointed executive director of the organization. The new executive director role, a part-time position, expands Greene’s current environmental profile as Chester County’s Solid Waste & West Tennessee Regional Recycling Hub Solid Waste director and Keep Chester County Beautiful executive director. Greene has served on the TRC board since 2013.

“Amber’s passion and knowledge of environmental issues, and her active leadership with key recycling and litter prevention organizations, makes her completely qualified to take on the duties of executive director for the Tennessee Recycling Coalition,” Lincoln Young, president of TRC, said. “Amber has been contributing to the success of TRC for many years,” Young continued, “this just makes it official.”

A graduate of Bethel College with a Bachelor of Science in business management, Greene has more than 19 years’ of experience in the environmental field. She completed the University of Martin West Star Leadership Program and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Solid Waste Professional Certificate Program. Greene serves on the Tennessee Solid Waste Directors Association Board and Tennessee SWANA Board.

“This is another opportunity to connect the solid waste, recycling, and litter prevention/education industries and counties in Tennessee,” Greene said. “The synergy of these organizations enables me to help grow the businesses and make a lasting impact on our great state.”
