The Tennessee Sustainability Conference is partnering with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation to host six training workshops on Tuesday, August 20th and Wednesday, August 21st. The workshops include Air Permitting, Haz-Waste, Storm Water, Environmental Grants, Pollution Prevention Workshop, and LOCT Landfill training. The SWANA Managing Recycling Systems class will be a three-day training class starting on Monday, August 19th.

The Tennessee Recycling Coalition Board of Directors is excited to announce the Recycler of the Year (ROY) awards. We encourage participants to nominate themselves or others and submit the awards nomination by 5:00 pm on June 25, 2024. If your business, company, nonprofit, county, city, or organization has an exceptional recycling program or project going on, we would love for you to apply for one of the prestigious ROY awards.

 

  • Please be sure to note that this year, TRC will host an awards ceremony at Park Vista Hotel on Friday morning, August 23, 2024. Winners are encouraged to attend to awards ceremony.  

Nomination Criteria:

 To nominate an individual, organization, school, or business, submit a 500-word or less description of the program (or individual), using the category and judging criteria on the website. Applications must contain supporting documentation, such as photographs, charts, signage, and other information. Programs should have been in place for at least one year to be considered for an award. Submission of photos and supporting documents is a must to be regarded as a complete application.

 

How to Enter:

All applications submitted must be current projects in the past two years within Tennessee.
